The STC-40027 from Swedish Telecom Opto’s LPO Series is an advanced 800 Gb/s OSFP SR8 optical transceiver designed for short-reach, high-density data-centre and AI fabric applications. Leveraging Linear Pluggable Optics (LPO) technology, this module achieves exceptional power efficiency by removing the internal DSP and using host-based signal processing. The result is a transceiver that delivers ultra-low latency and significantly reduced power consumption compared to traditional DSP-based designs.

Supporting 8 × 100 Gb/s PAM4 lanes operating at 850 nm VCSEL wavelengths, the STC-40027 provides reliable connectivity up to 50 m over multimode fiber (MMF). It is optimized for environments where energy efficiency and performance density are critical, including AI/ML clusters, HPC interconnects, and next-generation enterprise networks.
