Can Swedish Telecom Opto transceivers be installed in Cisco, HP, HPE, 3Com, and other OEM equipment?

Yes. All our transceivers are fully compatible with major OEM platforms, including:
Cisco®, HP®, HPE®, Dell®, Juniper®, Brocade®, Huawei®, 3Com®, IBM®, Palo Alto Networks®, Nvidia® (Mellanox®), and others.

Our modules are coded with vendor-specific firmware to ensure seamless plug-and-play integration, full interoperability, and support for Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM/DOM) where applicable. Compatibility extends across data centers, enterprise networks, cloud infrastructures, high-performance computing (HPC), AI clusters, and security appliances.

No. The use of third-party compatible optics does not void OEM equipment warranties. Under legal frameworks such as the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (U.S.), manufacturers cannot require the exclusive use of their own branded optics to maintain hardware warranties, unless provided at no charge.

Most OEM vendors source transceivers from specialized third-party manufacturers, apply private labeling, and resell them at significant markups. At Swedish Telecom Opto, we work directly with top-tier certified manufacturers, combined with our own quality assurance and coding processes. This allows us to provide technically equivalent solutions at significantly lower prices, while maintaining full compliance and highest quality standards.
