

The STC-40004 from Swedish Telecom Opto’s LPO Series is a 400 Gb/s QSFP112 DR4 module engineered for energy-efficient short-reach links over single-mode fiber (SMF). Designed on a Linear Pluggable Optics (LPO) architecture, it eliminates the need for a DSP inside the module, shifting signal processing to the host ASIC. This delivers significant reductions in power consumption and latency, making it ideal for data-centre leaf-spine interconnects, AI/ML clusters, and HPC environments where efficiency per watt is crucial.
The STC-40004 supports 4 × 100 Gb/s PAM4 lanes across an aggregate 400 Gb/s data rate, reaching up to 500 m over SMF. Built to comply with IEEE 802.3bs 400GBASE-DR4, it ensures seamless interoperability with compatible linear-drive hosts supporting CEI-112G-LINEAR-PAM4.
